Student Safety at Arrival & Dismissal
Our school year has started strong and we need your help to continue to keep students safe. If you are driving students to and from school, please do not use the parking lots. Please drop off and pick up from the sidewalks. This will cut down on the traffic and ensure that students who are walking on the sidewalk into the building are safe. Staff will be stationed near the lots asking you not to park there at arrival and dismissal. We appreciate your support and attention to this important safety matter. Thanks!
Halloween at the Curley
We are again hosting Pajama Day on Thursday, October 31st. We would love to see our entire Curley Community wearing pajamas. We are asking everyone to donate $2 as a way to raise funds for our Curley Cares student initiatives throughout the school year.
The Curley K-8 will not have a Halloween celebration during the school day. As a community we are focused on health and wellness and therefore we ask that all candy remain at home. We are also asking that students leave all costumes, masks, face painting and clown paraphernalia at home as well. Thank you in advance for your support around this matter. Attached is our Celebrations Policy.
Schoolyard Improvement Update: Thanks & Daffodil Planting: Sunday, November 3rd
Thank you to all who participated in Sunday’s front yard cleanup! See picture below of kids jumping in the leaf pile. We raked and filled scores of bags with leaves, we ate pizza, and we sold baked goods–just enough to cover our pizza costs! Way to go, team! Special thanks to all who donated baked goods to the sale.
Looking forward to planting daffodil bulbs together on Sunday, November 3rd, from 10am-12noon. Locations: Bus Area/Pershing Road and Front Steps/Centre Street). Pizza and hide-and-seek to follow at noon!
Please sign up for specific roles here, or just come whenever you can. If you do plan to sign up, it is helpful for us to know as far in advance as possible. So please, sign up today!
No School: Monday, November 11th
There will be no school on Monday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day.
