UPDATE: Coronavirus Precautions at the Curley 3/12/20
Though the risk remains low in Boston right now, all of us are concerned about the growing presence of coronavirus disease 2019 (also called COVID-19) in the United States. We are writing to update you all on the precautionary measures we are taking at the school to keep students and staff healthy. Please note as of now, ALL BPS SCHOOLS ARE OPEN.
The largest recommendation from the CDC is to keep students home if they are showing any signs of illness. If your child has a fever, cough or any flu like symptoms please keep them home until they are free of any symptoms. If you have any questions about whether to send your child to school, please call the school nurse (617-635-8239) as a great resource. While in school we also want to encourage regular hand washing and use of hand sanitizer. Both of our cafeterias now have hand sanitizer dispensers and students will be using this everyday in the cafeteria.
There will be other adjustments to our common community practices such as:
Cancellations: Principal Breakfast, SPC Meeting, All Field Trips
Postponed: Silent Auction
Other Adjustments: No spectators allowed at school events
Our school musical is taking place soon and we are working on a plan with Boston Public Schools Central Office and we will communicate this plan once we have information.
Please note information is changing rapidly and we are doing our best to communicate efficiently to our families. If you have any questions, please reach out to the school or visit the sites below.

Thank you for your support to keep the Curley K-8 safe and healthy. Remember, right now the risk in Boston is very low and all of these measures are precautionary. There is no need to panic or instill any fear in children. In the event your child is showing any signs of insecurity and anxiety please let us know so we can work together on a plan to support them. Please reach out with any questions by email or phone. (kgrassa@bostonpublicschools.org | 617-635-8239)
