Tips for Parents in Need of Services

With all the talk about the Coronavirus and your child having time off from school, we know that this can be a stressful time for many families. With these facts in mind, we wanted to inform all Curley families about some resources that are here to provide a number of supports to the community.

Self-care for Adults

There’s only so much you can give before you might feel mentally, emotionally and physically drained. “That’s why it’s a necessity — not a luxury — to spend some time taking care of yourself so that you can recharge and feel empowered to continue to support and care for your child (Kids Health).”

Tips: Take Breaks (Nap, read, whatever allows you to relax); Eat right (try to eat food that won’t make you feel tired and run down); Ask for help (ask friends and family for help, or contact an agency listed on this document), and Acknowledge your feelings (it’s ok if you’re feeling overwhelmed with life stressors, talk with a friend or family member about your feelings).
