UPDATE: Preparing for Online Learning
Dear Families,
With the Boston Public Schools closing from March 17th through April 27th, the Curley has made the following preparations to support the continuous learning of our students. Your child may come home with a Google Chromebook, books, work packets, markers, etc… There will be additional directions sent to families via their homeroom teachers over the weekend. We will need the Chromebooks returned to the homeroom teacher each day that your child reports to school.
Additionally, more learning apps can be found in Clever, the district’s digital backpack. Your student’s Clever backpack for learning can be accessed at: www.bostonpublicschools.org/backpack using their BPS email and password.
We are also encouraging students to continue their individualized instruction in reading using Lexia. In addition, to support independent reading, students have online access to thousands of texts and news articles, appropriate for school-age audiences, through myON. Both programs are familiar to students and can be accessed through Clever.
Visit the Digital Learning Resources website for more information about digital learning in the BPS or contact the OIIT Help Desk by email, phone, or G chat if you have questions or concerns about continued learning: The Help Desk Phone Number is 617-635-9200. Email Help Desk: Technology@bostonpublicschools.org
You will find additional resources to support families with social emotional needs in a separate post.
Sincerely,
Katherine Grassa
