Virtual Fall Walk to School Day: Wednesday October 7
Join the movement! The Curley is participating in the Annual International Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day (iWalk) on Wednesday October 7, and this year is virtual! The Curley Health and Wellness Committee is inviting students and their families to walk wherever they are–around the block, in a park, or in their homes.
Did you know that walking to school helps students arrive ready to learn? Like eating a healthy breakfast, physical activity gives our brain the boost it needs to focus. And we want our students to be prepared for the school day, no matter where they are learning!
You can support this movement by:
- Walking in your neighborhood or home on October 7
- Sharing and celebrating your success on social media with hashtags: #iwalked #ibiked #SafeRoutestoSchool #CurleyCares #WalktoSchoolDay
- Downloading the Safe Routes to School Activity Book for @Home Participation
- Modeling safe walking behaviors for your children
- Reporting street repairs and improvements needed via BOS:311
