Paw Prints – April 4
5 Day Return to School
We return to school for 5 days in person starting Monday, April 26th. Families still have the option to choose either fully remote or 5 days in person. Thank you to all the families who joined our call on Wednesday evening. Below you will find links to our presentations as well as a visual of which masks are NOT allowed in school.
Curley Pride Apparel:
Since last Spring, we have been working with the 6th-8th grade students in SPACE (Safe Place and Caring Environment) to learn about the history of and importance of intersectionality in the queer community. The students led the charge in updating our original Pride logo to represent and include Black and Brown identities. The inclusion of the statement “Black Trans Lives Matter” on our apparel this year is to amplify the voices of those who have led much of the work for LGBTQ rights but have, at the same time, been the most marginalized within and outside the LGBTQ community. We are excited to release our new logo and apparel! You can order using this link.
Orders close on Friday, April 16th. We hope to have apparel by the first week of May for distribution. T-shirts are $18 Crewneck sweatshirts are $30. If you have any questions about the apparel or SPACE, please contact Danielle West (dwest2@bostonpublicschools.org), Melanie Bourgeault (mbourgeault@bostonpublicschools.org), Marquel Norton (mnorton2@bostonpublicschools.org), Jon Hatch (jhatch2@bostonpublicschools.org)
