Curley School Celebrates Sugeily Santos – Massachusetts Counselor of the Year!
The Curley School is excited to announce that the Massachusetts Counselor of the Year is our very own Sugeily Santos! We celebrated this incredible honor with our students in the auditorium this afternoon.
One of our 8th-grade students composed and performed an original piece of music on the piano, and the 8th-grade girls performed a dance called “The Bamba.” We also shared parts of the heartfelt recommendation written by another 8th-grade student.
Our celebration was made even more special by the presence of several guest speakers, including Mayor Wu, Secretary of Education Pat Tutwiler, Commissioner of Education Russell Johnson, State Representatives Montano and MacGregor, and Councilor Weber. In addition, Wellpoint generously presented Ms. Santos with a $5,000 check for our school!
