School hours are 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Arrival & Breakfast:

  • The school hours are from 8:15am-3:00pm. Please make sure your child arrives on time. We serve universal free breakfast (starting at 8:15am) and lunch.
  • For the first day of school (grades 1-8), weather permitting, teachers in grades 1-8 will meet their students outside and line up to head into class from 8:15am-8:30am. (See attached map)
  • For the first day of K0-K2, weather permitting, teachers will meet their students outside and line up to head to class from 8:15am-8:30am. (See attached map)
  • After the above named windows, student will free file to class, there are adults stationed throughout the building to support. K1 can enter by the designated doors from 8:15-8:30. After 8:30 they MUST enter at 40 Pershing Road.
  • Please do not park on Pershing Road or in the school parking lot! This is disruptive to school buses and takes parking away from teachers and staff. We suggest instead that you park:
    • In the parking lot across from the Centre Street entrance
    • On Spring Park (DO NOT PARK ON SIDEWALKS, EVEN FOR A MOMENT–THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR THE CHILDREN!!)
    • On Moraine Street
    • Lochstead Ave

Dismissal & Pick-up: 3:00 p.m.

  • Students are dismissed at 3:00pm. We are asking all families to remain outside during dismissal.
  • Families should notify their child’s teacher at arrival if there is a change in the dismissal plan.
  • K0–K1 walkers will be dismissed from Pershing Road in front of the Kindergarten performance area.
  • K2–1st grade walkers will be dismissed from the Pershing Road side playground.
  • All walkers in 2nd–8th grades are escorted out to the Centre Street front yard exit. 
  • A staff member will escort bus students in K–6th grades to buses.
  • All students in 7th–8th grades will receive MBTA Passes on the first day of school.
