Fall Fling: The Curley School’s annual Fall Fling is returning this year! This is a chance for parents/caregivers to connect, celebrate and enjoy our wonderful school community.  Curley’s Fall Fling will take place on Friday, October 14th, from 5:30-8:00 pm.

Walk to School Day: On Wednesday, October 12, the Curley will celebrate Walk to School Day, a day to encourage students to use active transportation on their way to school. Walking, biking, and scooting to school are great ways to start the day with some physical activity.

This year, we will have three walking routes, plus a “Park & Walk,” where parents can park their cars, then walk their children to school, or drop them off to walk with friends.

But we need help! We still have several volunteer slots open and would love support from the Curley community. Please sign up here. Available positions:

  • Lead a walk from Spring Park Ave and Chestnut Ave
  • Set up coffee at the Park & Walk (45 Brookside Ave)
  • Set up snacks at the Centre Street school entrance

If you’d just like to walk with us, you can register here

SPC Chairs (2-3)                    City-wide Parent Council Rep (1)

Co-treasurer (1) District English Learner Advisory Committee Rep (1)

Curley Website Update:

The Website Committee is underway with their work. In the coming weeks, the committee will start revising content and reformatting the dropdown menu. We wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case you noticed things looked different. We hope to create a staging site (a separate domain that functions as a website but has a different URL) to avoid altering the current website as we tinker but haven’t yet figured out if this is possible.  We appreciate your patience as we begin our work!  We’ll update you again in the next Paw Prints!
