MCAS Testing

Beginning March 25th, we will start the MCAS testing/A partir del 25 de marzo, comenzaremos las pruebas MCAS.

We want to remind families that we are starting promptly at 8:35 am. School starts at 8:15 am, and students should come early to have breakfast and participate in Homeroom. Potluck and Art Night

Please join us at our last Potluck and Paint Night of the school year. We welcome you to enjoy some food and make some art with great company! All attendees will receive a paint kit and canvas. The paint kit and artwork will be yours to take home. We ask that you RSVP so we can ensure enough materials.

Curley Perfomance Arts:

• The Curley School, will present Annie KIDS on April 10th and 11 at 9:30 a.m. (student show), and April 11th at 6:00 pm for the community. All performances will be in the Curley Auditorium, 493 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130.   • “Annie KIDS reminds us about the importance of community.  By engaging her community in her search for her parents, this charismatic orphan finds her family in a way she never anticipated.  Similarly, these Curley Performing Arts students of Ms. Taylor Knight, Ms. Doherty, and Mr. Cammarata, all have different strengths and interests, have worked together to offer their own unique interpretation of this musical to our community.  We hope the BPS will join us in applauding them for all their creativity and teamwork,” says Freddie Gershon, Chairman of Music Theatre International (MTI). Schoolyard Improvement Committee

• The Curley Schoolyard Improvement Committee recently lost some of our core leadership. We need people to join and help lead this important group so that we can continue to care for the Curley outdoor campus effectively. Our work falls into two categories:

1. Maintenance of the grounds: we always hold schoolyard cleanups in the spring and fall;
2. Generating new ideas for improving the space.  We can use people who enjoy working outdoors – e.g. planting, pruning, landscaping – and also people who are just good at leading, planning, and organizing.
